Geneva 2015

The 8 mR World Championship ended in Geneva after a hot-summer week, nevertheless sailable with mostly with a light local thermal wind except one fresh-breeze day. 10 races were completed and the title went to Jean Fabre SUI on ‘Yquem II’ with Jean-Marc Monnard SUI steering, achieving a goal he had been aiming for since quite some time. The defending Champion ‘Hollandia’ of Tim Van Rootselaar NED earned Silver, Mark Decelles CAN with his ‘Lafayette’ Bronze. Also in the Neptune Category of the classic 8 meters, the victory was Swiss with ‘Catina VI’ of Fred Meyer SUI ahead of ‘Carron II’ SUI and ‘Glana’ with Philippe Durr SUI.
